Chihuahua killed and woman injured in Glasgow dog attack

She was attacked by two large dogs in the Dalmarnock area on Monday

A woman and her Chihuahua have been attacked by two large dogs in the Dalmarnock area Glasgow.

The 25-year-old's pet died and she's been left with a back injury.

It happened on Finnart Street between 4.20pm and 4.35pm on Monday.

It has been reported locally that this incident involved XL Bully type dogs, however this has yet to be established and enquiries into the full circumstances remain ongoing.

Sergeant Bobby Fisher said:

“We are appealing for anyone with information on this incident, or any local residents with potential video doorbell footage from Finnart Street and the surrounding areas, to please come forward.

“You can contact police on 101, quoting incident 2505 of 18 March, 2024.”
