Dundee provide pitch update ahead of Motherwell and Rangers matches
Dundee expect the games to go ahead as planned
Dundee say no decision has been made to move their upcoming matches due to an unplayable pitch.
The Dens Park side are set to host Motherwell on Saturday before a visit from Rangers next Wednesday.
Reports suggested the games may have to be moved to due a waterlogged surface, with the SPFL keen to have a back-up plan in place.
Dundee have already had four matches postponed this season due to the pitch.
A statement on the club's website reads: "As we all know there has been heavy rainfall in the Dundee area since the start of the week.
"The club have had a full grounds team along with consultants working on the pitch since the postponement of the Rangers match along with all the associated machinery and this will continue right up until Saturday.
"Rain covers will then be put down covering the whole pitch. The club are doing absolutely everything in its power to get Saturday’s match on and is expecting Saturday’s match to go ahead as planned.
"The club are in regular discussions with the league but no decision to move the match away from the Scot Foam Stadium has been made.
"The stories circulating in the media are very much media speculation."
The latest of the four matches to be called off this campaign was last month's televised game against the Ibrox side.
The decision to postpone was only made an hour before kick-off, causing controversy.
Time is running out to fulfil fixtures, with the final pre-split games played on April 13.
