Man arrested and charged in connection with drug and road traffic offences

Police have confirmed a 20 year old man's been arrested and charged, in connection with drug and road traffic offences, after footage appeared to show a car driving towards a Scottish Independence march in Glasgow yesterday.

The Believe in Scotland event brought together Independence supporters to march from Kelvin Way to the city centre.

A video shared on social media appeared to show a car driving towards marchers as they made their way to George Square.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with drug and road traffic offences.

“He has been released and is due to appear in court at a later date.

“A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
