Hoolie in the Hydro to celebrate 50th anniversary of Runrig
It will be the second year of the Scottish music event in Glasgow

Hoolie in the Hydro is set to take to the stage for the second year running tonight.
The event will celebrate Scottish and traditional music with performances from legends including founding members of Capercaillie, and a special collaboration with members of Runrig.
Drummer Iain Bayne and keyboard player Brain Hurran are performing to mark Runrig's 50th anniversary.
It will be the first time they have been on stage at the Hydro, and drummer Iain Bayne said: “I mean we’ve played arenas all across Europe but we never did the Hydro in Glasgow, so it’s going to a big event anyway.
He added: “The biggest collection of people coming together for ceilidh music that probably the world’s ever seen, I would imagine, so it’s going to be an amazing event, and I’m very much looking forward to it.”
Last year’s inaugural event attracted almost 7,000 people to the OVO Hydro, but this year has grown to more than 10,000.
Organiser and musician Gary Innes said: “To get it over the line last year was huge, and I though well if we can just build on it, if we can just get an extra thousand people, we had nearly 7,000 last year, I thought if we could just get to eight, that would be amazing.
“To actually hit ten it feels quite surreal to be honest, it really does.”
Singer Julie Fowlis, Fiddle player Duncan Chisholm and Gary himself will be on stage to celebrate Runrig's milestone.
There will also be appearances from Mànran, Trail West, Skerryvore lead singer Alec Dalglish, Britain’s Got Talent sensation Cammy Barnes, social media singing sensation NATI, and Irish musician Éamon Doorley.
Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band will be on stage hot off the heels of their World Pipe Band Championships win.
