Rangers have lost their appeal against Jose Cifuentes' red card.
The midfielder will now miss Sunday's League Cup final against Aberdeen, as he serves the first of a three-match suspension.
The Ecuadorian had been sent off in the first half of Saturday's 3-1 win over Dundee for a dangerous challenge.
It means Philippe Clement only currently has one senior midfielder, John Lundstram, available for the showpiece occasion at Hampden Park.
Rangers face Real Betis in their final Europa League group game on Thursday.
