Students to march through Glasgow to stop gender based violence
They'll make their way through the city to support the Light The Way campaign.

Students, charities and members of the public will get together at the end of the month to march through Glasgow to call for an end to gender based violence.
Organisations supporting women, including Glasgow and Clyde Rape Crisis, will take part in the Fight for the Night march on November 29.
They will make their way in the dark from Kelvingrove Park to George Square.
Annie Rose Devereux, Women’s Rep at Strath Union, said, “The march is a simple yet effective way to get involved with the wider campaign of 16 Days of Action.
"It is also such an empowering way to support and share each other’s struggles and experiences concerning gender-based violence.”
They're also supporting the Light The Way campaign which is demanding plans to put lights in Kelvingrove, Cranhill and Queen's Park are brought forward.

Alison McNaughton is the student opportunities manager at Strathclyde Union and told Greatest Hits Radio: "Winter time can feel particularly unsafe and I know a lot of people who spend time making choices and it can be expensive trying to figure out the safest route home."
