A teenager has been attacked in the city centre of Glasgow.

The incident happened on Argyle Street near Central Station at around 8:40pm last night, (31 January).

The 16-year-old boy was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, and the extent of his injuries aren't yet known.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.40pm on Wednesday, 31 January, 2024 we received a report that a 16-year-old boy had been seriously assaulted in Argyle Street in Glasgow.

"He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing.”
