Police hunt for 3 teens carrying weapons in 'serious' attack in Yoker

Two young men required medical attention after the assault

Police are appealing for information following a serious assault at an underpass in the Yoker area of Glasgow.

The incident happened around 7pm on Tuesday, 28 March, 2023, under Kelso Street.

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old male youth were with two other friends when they were approached by three men who were in possession of weapons after getting out of a dark coloured vehicle on Kelso Street.

The victims sustained serious injuries to their head and wrists and were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, for treatment.

The suspects made off in the direction of Greenlaw Road.

They are described as males, aged between 16 and 18-years-old, and wearing dark coloured clothing with hoods up and faces covered.

Kris Elliott, of Drumchapel CID, said: “This appears to be an unprovoked attack and we are eager to trace those responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen these suspects, or where they went after the serious assault, to please get in touch.”
