Man charged in connection with knife attack in Cheltenham

A man has been charged following a knife attack in Cheltenham

Jamie Peart, aged 21 and of no fixed abode, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court today (Thursday 2 June).

The charge relates to an assault which took place on Friday 27 May.

Police were contacted as a man had arrived at hospital after being wounded with a knife. He was treated for a hand wound and later discharged.

The attack is believed have taken place within a vehicle parked on Lipson Road.

Police attended and recovered a knife sheath but could not locate the alleged offender despite conducting searches in the surrounding area.
