Magistrates have granted a warrant of further detention this morning (Tuesday 24 January) for a woman who had been arrested on suspicion of murder.

It means the woman, aged 40, can remain in police custody for an additional 36 hours following her arrest in connection with the death of a man in Stroud over the weekend.

Police were called shortly before 6am on Sunday (22 January) with a report a man had been found unresponsive in the car park of Tesco superstore on Stratford Road.

The man, aged in his 60s, had been found without his mobility scooter which he uses as his mode of transport.
