Man charged with murder of 80-year-old man in Cheltenham

A man has been charged with the murder of an 80-year-old man in Cheltenham on Sunday (14 April).

63-year-old Jonathan Moore, who is from Cheltenham, is charged with killing 80-year-old James Mayo.

The charge relates to an incident on Sunday evening, when Gloucestershire Police were called to a property in Welland Court at around 7pm.

Mr Mayo was found with fatal wounds within a property and was sadly declared dead at the scene.

Moore will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday 17 April).
