Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a prisoner who has absconded from an open prison in Gloucestershire.

The Avon and Somerset force say 26 year old Eric Pearce is wanted after failing to return to HMP Leyhill on Wednesday.

He is said to have links to Cheltenham and Gloucester.

Anyone who sees him is urged to call 999.
