Police say they're very concerned about reports of 2 bogus charity collectors targeting houses in Grimsby and Cleethorpes.

2 men have been selling products doors to door despite suspicions good causes won't benefit from their efforts .

As a result, Humberside police officers are issuing a warning to residents to be "extra vigilant".

Officers say all genuine collectors will have a number that can be checked on the Charity Commission website.

They also said:

"There are many different types of doorstep scams and our advice is not to answer the door to anyone you don't know or who cannot provide valid ID.

"Share this message and talk to your friends, neighbours and family – make sure they know about rogue traders and help them to protect themselves.

"Officers are investigating all offences reports to us, if you have any information that would help us prevent further victims then please call us on 101."
