Harrogate fashion show to support local clothing bank

A Harrogate clothing store which has organised a fashion show is doing its bit to help the local clothing bank.
Bias, which is on Cold Bath Road, are running their Autumn show at Cold Bath Brewing with proceeds going to Harrogate Clothes Bank.
But guests are also being asked to bring an item of warm clothing which can also be donated to the clothing bank.
Michelle Hayes is the founder of Harrogate Clothes Bank. She originally set it up in 2016 to support the Syrian refugee families arriving into Harrogate district but since then families from Harrogate and Leeds have used the vital provision.
She said: "Harrogate has got this reputation for being very wealthy but in fact there is a lot of hidden poverty and I think it's really important we shine a light on that otherwise people won't realise that so many are struggling.
"It's not just a couple of families that we support, it's a lot of families and now we've got the new refugee families coming in and they arrive with very little so we'll be able to help them.
"I'm so grateful for this initiative not only to increase our stock but also as a fundraiser. Obviously we need funds to be able to run these kinds of projects as we do everything for free and there are a lot of overheads so this will be a huge help."
Doors to the event open at 7.30pm with it starting at 8pm. Entry costs £10 which includes an arrival drink and £5 will go to Harrogate Clothing Bank.
The Clothes Bank has recently moved into a new premises on Hornbeam Park with its next open day Saturday 30 October.
