Harrogate Town have confirmed they will be able to sell tickets to home and away fans this weekend, after safety concerns at Wetherby Road left fans in doubt.

The club were banned from selling tickets ahead of their League Two opener against Rochdale after a report found 17 "unacceptable" concerns.

It included problems with stewards, CCTV systems and the club's control room.

But the club's released a statement this afternoon saying it's been given permission to sell tickets after working closely with safety groups.

The club has also apologised to fans for the frustration: "We would like to apologise to both our supporters and Rochdale supporters for the delay in confirming arrangements at Saturday’s fixture and the subsequent inconvenience this has caused."

"It has been a difficult process but the safety of everyone at the stadium is paramount and cannot be compromised."

Tickets won't be on sale at turnstiles and fans are being encouraged to wear face masks.
