The referee called time on the match due to a frozen pitch
Harrogate Town’s game with Carlisle United was abandoned last night (Tuesday, 29 December).
Despite passing an earlier pitch inspection, the referee called off the match due to a frozen pitch, 10 minutes into play.
Simon Weaver’s side had been leading 1-0, thanks to a first minute header by Connor Kirby.
However, referee Martin Coy decided that the EnviroVent Stadium pitch had become unsafe.
The players were lead off the pitch around the 10 minute mark.
