Tributes paid to three men killed after a 4x4 is swept away by North Yorkshire river

The incident happened in the Esk at Glaisdale on Thursday (28th December).

The three men who died when a 4x4 in which they were travelling was swept away and submerged in a North Yorkshire river have been named - and tributes paid by their loved ones.

The incident happened on Thursday (28th December) when the trio - as part of an off-roading group - attempted to cross a stream on the River Esk in Glaisdale.

They've been named as:

28 year old Scott Thomas Daddy from Hull, a passionate football fan and "loving song, brother, uncle and boyfriend. Always hlpeing others. Scouting and outdoor activities. Taken doing something he enjoyed but too early. He had a big future ahead of him. He will always be missed by his loving family."
Leslie Forbes from the East Riding who was 70 is described as "a loving husband, father and grandfather, who will be sadly missed by his family and friends."
59 year old Patrick Hibbins from York "will be sadly missed by all his close friends and work colleagues."
