Woman taken to hospital after emergency services called to Inverness city centre

A 28-year-old woman has received hospital treatment after concerns for a person were raised in Inverness City Centre.

Part of Academy street was cordoned off late last night.

Emergency services remained on the scene until earlier this morning.

Police Scotland say they were called out as a woman had climbed scaffolding.

A spokesperson said: "Around 9.15pm on Wednesday, 29 March 2023, police received a concern for person call as a woman had climbed scaffolding in Academy Street, Inverness.

"Emergency services attended and the 28-year-old woman was taken to hospital for assessment.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
