Today sees the announcement millions of households across the country have been urgently waiting for as new Prime Minister Liz Truss will set out her plan to support people and businesses with soaring energy costs.

Downing Street says the action will be "bold" and will also increase the country's energy supply.

Households are concerned about rising costs whilst businesses across Lincolnshire and Newark have also told us they're likely to be significantly impacted if action isn't taken on bills.

We spoke to Kate Robinson from the Great Wood Farm nursery in Grantham about their situation.

She told us: Food has gone up, our energy bills have gone up each month, we've just had our biggest month for that.

"The heatwave and the air conditioners we need has impacted."

"When you're working with children you have to put the energy in, whether it's heating or cooling the air because they need that level of care."

"We run a before and after school club with four local primary village schools so we do our own transport to drop off and collect at the end of the day."

"With the cost of fuel increasing that is obviously impacting as well and we feel like we can't pass that cost on so it's something we just have to soak up."
