Special services are taking place today across Lincolnshire and Newark dedicated to the Queen for communities to pay their final respects before the State Funeral tomorrow.

Services across the communities of Lincolnshire and Newark are taking place today.

The Bishop of Grantham, Nicholas Chamberlain says he has been spending most of the week processing what has happened, and looking for opportunities to be thankful.

He says that the funeral will solidify this new chapter:

"I think the funeral is a moment of significance for everyone. Any funeral is it's a turning point, and from a Christian perspective, it's the point at which a person is finally commended to God to eternal rest, and so that is a turning point.

It is the farewell, it it is the offering back, and it then becomes part of the foundation for beginning to look forward, and so I really do think that Monday is going to be a hugely significant day for our nation, for the Commonwealth. I also think for the wider world as well and certainly for for many, many people."

Services will be taking place across Northern Lincolnshire and surrounding Newark.
