The Queen's Baton Relay has continued it's journey through parts of Lincolnshire today.

Yesterday it visited Lincoln including places like the Cathedral and the LNER stadium.

It's as part of the build up to the Commonwealth games in Birmingham later this month.

This morning it started in Skegness before it moved onto Boston and Grantham.

Baton bearers Jeoffrey Wilson and Paul Dixon

In Skegness it started in Compass Gardens with baton bearer Paul Dixon he said:

"To hold the baton is an honour in itself. I'm an ex serviceman so when something to do with the Queen is mentioned - it's very patriotic"

Then Jeoffrey Wilson took part in the event by going on Altitude 44 before he abseiled down from it - he's done this once before:

"Well the first time I did this was when it first opened or it was just prior to the opening and they were testing it out and I asked them if I could have a go of it and they let me.

"It was fantastic - an honour to have held the baton that the Queen held".

Later the baton went to Boston and then Grantham.

Rachael Bradley, a tenancy support officer for South Kesteven District council, carried the baton there on behalf of her breast cancer support group 'Breast Friends'

She created the group with her friend following her own battle with cancer we spoke to her ahead of the event in Grantham:

"I'm really really proud to be able to carry that baton for so many cancer thrivers and survivors and those who have fought the battle and are not with us anymore.

"So I'm doing it for them and I'm really proud of that"
