Four men bailed as police continue to investigate Ashley Dale murder

Four men, arrested on Wednesday (14th September) by detectives investigating the murder of Ashley Dale have now been bailed.

The 28-year-old council worker was shot in Old Swan on Sunday August 21.

She was found by emergency services in a rear-garden of a property with gunshot wounds to her body.

Ashley was then taken to hospital where she died a short time later.

Three of the men taken into custody were arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of a firearm.

A 27-year-old man from Roby; a 40-year-old man from Huyton and a 35-year-old man from Old Swan have been released on conditional bail.

A 57-year-old man from Croxteth was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries

A further two men and two women currently remain on bail in relation to Ashley's murder.
