George Harrison's childhood home in Speke is going up for auction later on today.

The Beatles' 3 bedroom Upton Green house is up for an estimated price of £160,000 - £200,000.

George and his family moved into the property in 1950 when George was just 6 years old and they spent 12 important years there before moving in 1962.

While Harrison was living there, the house became a regular rehearsal venue for The Quarrymen, a band which would evolve into The Beatles.

There are numerous pictures of George inside and outside the property where he would rehearse with John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

It has been noted that any successful buyer could apply for a blue plaque from November 2021.

The current vendor bought the property in 2014 and according to Zoopla average house prices in the area have risen 20% since that date.

According to the vendor, a number of original features from George's time at the property still remain and include the bath, sink, some original doors, hanging rails in wardrobes and outbuildings with original doors and decor.

The Music Memorabilia & Vinyl Showcase Auction comes one day after the 20th anniversary of the Beatles' untimely passing. George was only 58.

The same auction is also selling a Harley Davidson golf cart buggy owned by Elvis Presley, a white shirt and trousers owned by Elvis Presley, a Jimmy Page signed guitar and a two-part wooden pipe, which was owned and used by Jimi Hendrix during his time at Woodstock.
