Michael Bublé has been revealed as next year's BRITs host, taking over from the ever popular duo Ant and Dec.

This will be only the third time that a non-Brit has presented the awards in nearly 40 years.

Announced earlier today on Twitter BRIT Awards said, "We are BEYOND excited" to have Michael Bublé as the new host.

Next year will see the BRIT Awards return for their 37th year with Michael taking to the O2 Arena stage for the 16th time in his career.

Talking about this announcement Michael said, "It’s a huge honour for me to host such a big night in music. "I’m very much looking forward to February and celebrating the success stories of a great year in music."

The 41-year-old singer has been nominated for three BRIT Awards in the past (2008, 2010 and 2013), all for International Male Solo Artist, however he has yet to win one.

For the first time next year the BRIT Award nominations will be televised on prime time TV featuring special performances.

Nominations will be announced live on 14th January 2017, with the BRIT Awards taking place on Wednesday 22nd February 2017.
