Body found in search for missing 80-year-old man from Stockport

Police have found a body in the search for an elderly man from Stockport who was reported missing last week.
80-year-old Alfred Sykes was last seen in the Davenport Area on Wednesday 7th February and efforts have been underway to find him ever since.
Police have since given us tragic update in a statement released last night:
"Officers searching for missing man Alfred Sykes have sadly found a body.
"The 80-year-old from Stockport was last seen around 4.20pm on Wednesday 7 February in the Davenport area.
"A body was discovered in grounds off Cromley Road in Woodsmoor on Sunday 11th February.
"Formal identification hasn’t taken place yet but officers believe it is Alfred and his family have been informed."
