Transport bosses say two young men have been "hugely irresponsible" after they were filmed riding on top of a double decker in Manchester city centre.

The video shows the two so-called Urban Explorers sitting on top of a Stagecoach bus - which had passengers on board - as it was driving through Piccadilly Gardens last night.

The footage has been viewed more than 22-thousand times so far on social media.

Stagecoach says the men's behaviour is very dangerous and puts drivers, passengers and other road users' safety at risk.

Here is the full statement from a Stagecoach spokesperson:

“This kind of behaviour is hugely irresponsible and very dangerous, not only to those taking part but also for our drivers, passengers and other road users. We would urge anyone thinking of repeating this type of stunt, not to put themselves or other members of the public at risk.”

We've contacted Greater Manchester Police who say they're looking into it.
