Norfolk Police are appealing for information to help trace a 65-year-old man who's not been seen for over a week.

David Cubberley was last seen in the Hickling area on Sunday 11 February.

Concerns were then raised for his welfare on Saturday 17 February, shortly after 3pm, after his boat, normally moored near to the Pleasure Boat Inn, was found in reeds about half-a-mile away.

Officers tell us David wasn’t on the boat and hasn’t been seen or heard from.

His dog was found nearby on land by a member of the public earlier that morning around 8am and has been taken to a local vet.

Searches took place on Hickling Broad yesterday, with police assisted by Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, the Coastguard and Hemsby lifeboat.

David is described as white, of slim build with shoulder length white hair.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen David or knows of his current whereabouts to come forward.
