Man arrested after serious crash in Needham leaves motorcylist seriously injured

A man in his 40s is being questioned after the crash early this morning

A man has been arrested after a crash in Needham this morning, which left a motorcylist with life changing injuries.

The collision happened on the A143 Brockdish and Needham Bypass, close to Tumbril Lane and Upper Harman’s Lane.

A blue Saab car and a green Kawasaki motorbike were involved. The car was heading towards Diss, while the motorbike was heading in the opposite direction.

The motorbike rider, a man in his 50s, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for treatment, where he remains.

A man in his 40s, who was driving the car, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving without insurance. He remains in custody.
