Man sentenced to nearly five years in prison for drug offences
Daniel Gould was found with 50 grams of cocaine on him when police conducted a search warrant last year.
A 33-year-old man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison in connection with a number of drug offences.
Daniel Gould, of no fixed abode was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court yesterday (Monday 21 September) after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply drugs at an earlier hearing.
It follows a drug warrant that happened on 17 September of last year when officers from the Operation Moonshot East Team attended an address on Warren Road in Hopton-On-Sea.
Gould, who was inside the address, was searched and consequently arrested after he was found in possession of over 50 grams of cocaine and £100 cash.
Officers continued to search the property and found a large quantity of drugs with an estimated street value of £20,000 and over £19,000 in cash concealed in a room that had been converted into a DJ booth. Officers seized:
- 112.95 grams of Cocaine
- 358.56 grams of Ketamine
- 39.19 grams of MDMA
Gould was later charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, one count of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and one count of posession of Class B drugs.
Two women were also arrested in connection with the incident, one aged in her 50s and the other aged in her 20s. The woman aged in her 50s was given a caution for possession of Class B drugs (Ketamine) and the woman aged in her 20s will have no further action taken against her.
Gould was today sentenced to a total of four years and eight months in prison.
Sgt Nick Tungatt from the Operation Moonshot East Team said: "We are really pleased with this result as it sends out a strong message that we will not tolerate drug dealing and we will target those who decide to supply drugs on the streets of Norfolk."
