Hunter's Yard in Ludham has welcomed Royalty to mark the start of its 25th Anniversary celebrations.

Princess Anne took some time to speak to members of the Trust behind the yard yesterday and took a look at some of the traditional wooden yachts on site.

Chairman of the Trust, Neville Khambatta, told Greatest Hits Radio the visit was an "absolute pleasure".

The Princess Royal flew in and out on helicopter, stopping for around 45 minutes on Wednesday 12th May.

Revd Khambatta told us she was "incredibly well informed", adding "it was difficult to remember to keep being formal because she was so relaxed and easy to talk to".

It's one of only five remaining wooden yacht hire companies left on the Broads, collectively known as the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads Yacht Owners Association.

The companies involved are: Hunters, Swallowtail Boats, Oliver's Sailing Holidays, Martham Boats, and Eastwood Whelpton Sailing Holidays.

Princess Anne left the yard with a bound copy of its history.
