With Storm Arwen due to hit this weekend, Christmas in the Parks in Priory Gardens in Gorleston has been cancelled, because of the predicted strong winds.

However, the Borough Council is hoping the fireworks and Christmas light switch on, on Sunday (28 November) will go ahead as planned from 5pm on Gorleston High Street.

Great Yarmouth will also see their lights switched on tonight (26 November)in Market Place.

The fun starts at 6pm with the honours performed by the Mayor of Great Yarmouth, Cllr Adrian Thompson, and Greatest Hits Radio's Rob Chandler, followed by a rooftop firework spectacular.

There will also be a Tunnel of Light for festive selfies and Santa’s post Office so children can post their letters to Father Christmas.
