We granted to Barnardo’s Young People Support Fund to run projects which help teenage parents and children, vulnerable young people and young carers in Newcastle City Centre.

Bought an iPad for Penny from Newbiggen-by-the-Sea who has Spina Bifida. The iPad helps distract her while receiving medical treatment and keeps her in touch with her sisters via FaceTime during her long stays in hospital.

We granted funds to Calvert Trust to buy sensory equipment to make their resource centre more accessible for children with special needs.

We bought specialist beds worth over £5,000 each for two young children in the region who suffer from extensive special needs and sleeping disorders, to ensure they stay safe.

We granted funds to Building Futures East to run skills and vocational courses for young people to raise aspirations, self-esteem and contribute to their community.

We bought a specialist swing for Riley from Thirsk who is severely autistic and non-verbal but who loves the play park.

We granted funds to the Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust to give a helping hand to young people in the region who want to build a future in music or sport.

We supported East End Community Centre to run projects to keep kids off the streets and engage them in sport and craft activities.

We gave over £85,000 to sports groups across the North East and North Yorkshire to help more disadvantaged children to access their services and improve equipment and facilities.

We helped three siblings in Durham who needed help coming to terms with the death of their seven-year old sister.

We gave 1,000 disadvantaged children a big day out at Ocean Beach Pleasure Park – something they would never normally be able to afford.

We donated Summer activity packs to over 1,000 low-income families so children can enjoy games, crafts, sports and puzzles without additional financial stress during the holidays.

We provided items such as activity vouchers, pushchairs, assistance with transport, blankets, toys and funds to families and schools across the region who have needed urgent support.
