A new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre could be on the cards for Derriford Hospital.

University Hospitals Plymouth has been shortlisted alongside 20 other Trusts - four in total within Devon and Cornwall - as part of the New Hospital programme (formerly HIP2).

They will now develop their business case to secure investment, with phase one focusing on 'improved provision' for their urgent and emergency care services.

The Trust say the New Hospital programmes in Plymouth, North Devon and Torbay will form an integral part of Devon’s Long Term Plan.

As part of this, they are working together across the county’s health system and wider to ensure these exciting building schemes benefit patients from Devon and Cornwall.

They are now sharing their plans with the public and asking for feedback.

They are asking anyone who would like to contribute ideas to watch the video (above) and then complete a survey - which can be found here.
