The Tinside Lido on Plymouth Hoe, has been shut after it was vandalised.

Bosses say there was glass found in the pool, and that it'll be closed until further notice.

A post on Tinside's Facebook page reads:

"Due to vandalism Tinside Lido will be closed until further notice we will keep you all updated the best we can.

"Sorry for any inconvenience caused."

The facility was broken into on Thursday evening (3 June).

It will now need to be drained, cleaned and then refilled.

The City Council has confirmed it should be reopening on Sunday (6 June) at 10am.

It was recently named one of the most 'Instagrammable' outdoor pools in the world.

The pool was built in 1935 and is Grade II listed.
