A Rutland vicar is hoping to raise £300,000 to repair the leaking roof in her church.
The current roof has been in place since around 1830

A Rutland vicar is hoping to raise three hundred thousand pounds to repair the leaking roof in her church.
The money would be used to completely replace the current roof at St John The Evangelist's Church in Ryhall,as well as replace its current heating system.
Over £80,000 has been raised so far.
Reverend Jo Saunders explained why the money is needed "Our roof is in a terrible state and has leaks in 22 places. The lead was last replaced in around 1830"
She continues "If we can make the church a warm and welcoming place we can grow our numbers".
Reverend Jo Saunders hopes that the public will push the church to its fundraising target.
