Lakeside Healthcare inspection findings released in "due course", CQC says
The Stamford health provider was previously rated 'inadequate'

Results of an inspection of Lakeside Healthcare at Stamford are expected to be published in the next few months, the Care and Quality Commission (CQC) says.
After a previous CQC inspection rated the health provider 'inadequate' last year, inspectors are currently undertaking a new review looking at what improvements can be made for patients.
One patient, who preferred to remain anonymous, complained of medical files going missing and letters from Lakeside arriving a month later than scheduled.
"I went to the surgery to find out if they'd received my post-operative paperwork, they said they hadn't. So I made copies and took them to the surgery myself...", the patient said.
"I recently received a letter from the surgery about my complaint that I emailed to them, it's an acknowledgement letter dated 8th January, however the postmark on the envelope actually is dated the 9th February, so has that sat on somebody's desk for a month?"
A spokesperson from the CQC said: âCQC inspectors are currently undertaking an inspection of Lakeside Healthcare at Stamford. A report detailing inspection findings will be published in due course.â
The desired outcome
Councillor Richard Cleaver, from the Lincolnshire Health Scrutiny Committee, said that all parties wish to see an improved rating, and it's just a matter of time before they do:
"This is an ongoing situation, I'm confident it will get resolved and Lincolnshire Health Scrutiny Committee has scheduled in an item to discuss the Lakeside inspection when it comes out, so this is going to be resolved.
"I'm sure it's going to be resolved because there's good will on all sides to make sure that it is."
Councillor Cleaver added that population demands will also play a big part in making sure local health care is up to standard:
"We have 2,000 new homes required to be built in the town between now and 2036, that puts a great strain on services. The lease at St Mary's Surgery has only 4 more years to run and we really need it to be replaced by a state of the art surgery."

A statement from Lakeside Healthcare at Stamford said:
âThe team at Lakeside Stamford have worked tirelessly over the past few months to improve systems and procedures, including updating the telephone system and implementing a new management structure. Weâve also welcomed new team members. These fundamental changes have all been carried out while providing core services, supporting the Covid booster vaccination programme and dealing with a huge upsurge in demand too.
âWe value patient feedback and, since the last inspection, have been meeting regularly with our Patient Participation Group, who also represent the views and interests of patients, to maintain an open and positive dialogue.
âWe remain committed to giving our patients the best possible service given the many constraints we have faced, and are currently working to overcome, and look forward to the findings of the next CQC inspection.â
