Despite 15 months of being closed, a nightclub owner in Oakham's telling us why he decided NOT to re-open when the lockdown lifted yesterday.

Jonathan Spencer runs Bill's Bar, despite taking a huge financial hit, he's still not decided if it's safe to open his doors.

He says if he does it'll probably be at a reduced capacity.

He's concerned about the possibility of the virus spreading and the impact that could have on staff who may need to self isolate.

He believes at the moment there's a real risk for nightclubs which do open.

Mr Spencer has already had issues with staff having to isolate.

He also runs three restaurants - Orbis Stamford, Orbis Oakham and Hoppi Dorri in Stamford.

All of them have all had to close until Wednesday because of staff being told not to go out after being pinged by the NHS app.

He says it's becoming more and more of a challenge for venues.

When they do reopen there will be a number of safety measures still in place as a precaution.
