Police in Rutland say they're well prepared to deal with any breaches of Covid 19 regulations on the first weekend since the easing of rules.

It's the first time beer gardens have been open in months.

Joe Lloyd is a beat officer in Oakham.

He says they're ready for a busier weekend.

The force is urging everyone to stay safe and to follow the restrictions that are still in place.

They say "relevant resources" will be deployed to ensure people stick to the rules.

Their experiences patrolling the night time economy will be key to doing that.

Joe says they just want the people of Rutland to "be sensible".
