Results of South Kesteven by-elections announced

The results of the by-elections in South Kesteven have been announced.

Votes were counted overnight after voters had their say at the polls yesterday (28 October).

Richard Cleaver has been elected for South Kesteven District Council's Stamford All Saints Ward with 496 votes.

Other candidates were Maxwell Sawyer, who got 46 votes; Amanda Schonhut, with 214 votes; and Tony Story, with 114 votes.

Turnout was 22.78 per cent.

Meanwhile Kathleen Rice-Oxley took Grantham Arnoldfield Ward with 460 votes.

The other candidates were Stuart Fawcett, with 136 votes; and Mike Turner, who got 112 votes.

Amanda Schonhut has been elected for the All Saints North Ward at Stamford Town Council, where there was a 19.72 per cent turnout.

She got 255 votes.

Meanwhile it was Lisa Brewin who took St Mary’s Ward with 379 votes.

The turnout was 18.20 per cent.
