Special Constable applications open for Stamford, Bourne and Deeping Police

The voluntary role has the same powers as a regular Police Constable

Applications are open for Special Constables to help Lincolnshire Police to deliver an effective policing service to the people of Lincolnshire.

Stamford, Bourne and Deeping Police have shared details of how to apply to work in partnership to prevent and detect crime; help improve road safety; and keep local communities safe.

The role profile explains:

All members of the Special Constabulary are expected to know, understand and act professionally in accordance with the Code of Ethics and the principles of PRIDE.

The behaviours required of this role are based on those of the Competency and Values Framework and centre on the four core values of:

  • Integrity
  • Impartiality
  • Public Service
  • Transparency

There are some things that can prevent a person becoming a Special Constable, for example the person's job outside of the role may not be suitable.
