A section of the road will be shut between 7.00pm and 6.00am for three nights.

It will affect the bit between the Castle roundabout to the junction with Butts Road.

It's so Highways England can do some work to allow for new street lighting in the area.

That's connected to the ongoing work over the last few months right along the A36 Churchill Way through Salisbury.

WHAT'S THE DIVERSION ROUTE?

The official diversion route set to get around the works

Wiltshire Council tell us the official diversion route would take drivers along the A360 Devizes Road, to the A303 at Longbarrow and along the A345 from Countess, through Amesbury and back in to Salisbury.

Of course, there are a number of other routes that we can take to avoid such a long alternative journey.

The closure might cause additional disruption as the A338 at Britford remains closed for roadworks too.

The work's due to be completed by Thursday morning (10th September).
