APPEAL: Woman knocked unconscious after assault in Salisbury

Police have now released a CCTV image in connection with the incident.

The force have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a woman in her 20s was knocked unconscious in Salisbury.

At approximately 2:30am on Sunday September 6th, a verbal argument broke out between the female and a male who was not known to her.

During the spat, which happened outside Tesco Metro on Castle Street, the woman was punched in the head which caused her to be unconscious for several minutes.

She was then taken to Salisbury District Hospital and was later discharged.

Wiltshire Police now hopes that someone will recognise the man and be able to help with their investigation.
