Police investigating a spate of break-ins in Fordingbridge have arrested two people on suspicion of burglary and handling stolen goods.

Eight buildings were broken into between Saturday 2nd April and Sunday 3rd April with a selection of tools including power tools taken.

Hampshire Constabulary say as part of their enquiries a vehicle was stopped in Eastleigh just before 1pm on May 7th and a number of tools were located and seized.

A man and woman were detained but have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Police say they will continue to conduct high-visibility patrols in the Fordingbridge area.
