Woman suffers serious facial injuries in unprovoked attack in Pewsey

It happened after one of England's matches in the Euro 2020s

A woman was targeted in what police have described as an "unprovoked serous assault' in Pewsey.

It happened in the early of hours of Saturday 19th June, the night of the England v Scotland match.

Police say the victim had earlier been at a pub before visting the Pewsey Kebab House in the High Street where she ws attacked outside the premises by another woman.

She suffered serious injuries to her face.

A 25-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and released on bail.

T/Detective Constable Myles Scott said:

'It’s likely that there would have been several people in the area at the time and I would urge them to please contact us. It may also be that drivers may have recorded dashcam footage or witnessed the assault - please call us."
