A woman has had cash stolen from her purse after it was left in a Salisbury store.

The purse was accidentally left at the till on Southampton Road with a large amount of cash inside on the 20th April at around 11:40am.

The victim then contacted the store a bit later when she realised but was told that a man had already picked it up before leaving the store with it.

The purse was later found outside, with the quantity of money gone.

After police carried out enquiries, they say they are now in a position to release a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured should call Local Crime Investigator Mark Blunt on 101, quoting crime reference 54210036630.

Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
