River Bourne Community Farm posted a heartbreaking update on their Facebook post following the incident around 9pm (11th September).

It explained four hens at the site in Laverstock had been killed after being targeted by a group of youths with catapults.

The charity says the group were "scared off by a dog walker."

The "incredibly distressing and upsetting" incident happened just weeks after the farm reopened having been unable to operate for several months due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
