The National Trust property says it will offer a 'magical, after dark illuminated trail.'

While the festive period may look a little different in the wake of Covid-19 Wiltshire's Stourhead will be hoping to bring some Christmas sparkle.

The world-famous landscaped gardens near Mere will shimmer again after the success of last year's event.

This year's Christmas trail will run from the 27th November to 3rd January.

Tree canopies will be "drenched in Christmas colour" and they'll be "giant luminescent sculptures" and tree trunks "wrapped in light.'"

The popular tunnel of light with thousands of pea lights returns and they'll also be a scented fire garden.

As you wander around they'll be also a soundtrack of festive classics to get you in the mood!

  • Reducing the necessity to queue
  • Revising the trail route to manage visitor flow
  • Additional cleaning and having hand sanitisation stations where appropriate
