Christmas is going to look a bit different in our city this year with no festive fayre or ice rink so the City Council is planning 'smaller treats' for us to enjoy.

One of the ideas it to have performers on the city's streets so the local authority is looking for musician, story tellers, dancers, street performers and other forms of entertainment which can take place in a Covid friendly way.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Jeremy Nettle said,

"Christmas in Salisbury is going to look a bit different this year. However, we are still looking forward to hosting Covid secure festive fun. In order to do this, we need the help of performers to showcase their talents and bring some vibrancy and entertainment to passers-by during the festive period."

If you would like to perform in the city this Christmas, you'll need to complete the application form on the council's website: https://www.salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk/responsibilities/our-events
