The Sarum South Primary Care Network's Covid-19 vaccination clinics have now closed after six months.

The vaccination programme began at Salisbury Cathedral on January 16th before the service moved to Leaden Hall last month.

The last jab was given at the former school at the weekend.

Across both sites a staggering 48,803 patients from five GP practices were given their life-saving jab by the team.

Among those housebound patients as well as staff and residents from 32 care homes across the city.

This equates to 3885 hours of vaccinating!

THANK-YOU

Salisbury Medical Team has described it as an "amazing achievement" and thanked those who worked "tirelessly" and helped along the way.

Assisting staff from the GP practices were military staff, including 33 from Tidworth, as well as 76 volunteers.

Final jab done at Leaden Hall!

Dr Dan Henderson Co-Clinical Director for Sarum South Primary Care Network said:

"On top of the massively increased demand primary care has experienced in the last few months, delivering that number of vaccines has been nothing short of miraculous and is testament to the hard work and dedication of GPs, nurses, health care assistants and admin team members from the five practices involved"

RESHUFFLE ACROSS WILTSHIRE CCG AREA

Last week the final vaccination was also held at Wilton's Michael Herbert Memorial Hall.

Salisbury's City Hall is now the focus of the vaccination programme.
