Death of man in Salisbury toilets "not believed to be suspicious"

The body of a local man was discovered early on Tuesday morning.

Officers were called by the ambulance service shortly before 4am following the discovery of a man in the public loos in Market Place.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and later identified as a 27 year old local man.

A large police cordon was put in place at the scene.

Wiltshire Police now say "following enquiries we can confirm his death is not being treated as suspicious."

APPEAL

Officers are still keen to hear from anyone who may have used the public toilets between 10.30pm on Monday 7th September and 4am on Tuesday 8th September. or anyone who was in the Market Square during these times.
